About Stephon

The parts of me
that made the work.

Before the bylines, broadcasts and awards, there was a kid from Baltimore learning to read rooms, survive detours and recognize the story beneath what people showed him. This is the intimate record of the family, cities and inheritances that made me.

The chapters

Every version of me left something worth carrying.

Promise never guaranteed a straight road. Mine became a collection of places, people, losses, departures and callings—each leaving behind something I would need for the next chapter. Enter where something recognizes you, then follow the thread.

Becoming

New York

The work

The Journalist

Across four cities and many places in between, I became an Emmy Award-winning journalist with a front-row seat to history. The real education came from ordinary people who trusted me with the moments that changed everything.

Where the chapters meet the present

Every chapter is preparing me to serve this moment.

The work is still widening—from the reporting desk to the family archive to the stories I am building through The Narrative Company. If something here meets something in you, come closer: commission a story, build a partnership or help give the unfinished work the time and care it deserves.
